Utility Week covered Neara’s physics-enabled modelling of the UK’s energy grid, which simulated 100mph winds hitting more than 16,000km of network at once.

The analysis found over a third of the network could be at risk of outage during a national “super storm”, with more than 3.5 million people currently exposed to disruption.
